I don’t care what you think, I like Leinenkugel’s Summer Shandy. And Johnnie Walker Black.

I like to crush an ice cold summer shandy right after a mowing the yard when it’s really hot.
It doesn’t get any better than that!

Hey, take off you hoser! Elsinore is the only beer worth drinking!

No shame in that. Shandy is great on a hot day!

Looks good. Unfortunately, I start working in about 10 minutes.

I’m on day 2 of a 3-day weekend, so my condolences.
I’ll probably have to work 6 days in a row next week, but the following week I have to take my last two days of vacation time so a 4-day weekend it is. And in May, all of my time resets and I have 4 weeks of vacation and 4 personal days.

And it combines my two passions: lemons and beer.

Okay. What do you guys use to make a shandy.
Here in the U.K. It’s half a pint of lager or beer, topped up with lemonade.
But I understand lemonade is a still drink over there made of just juiced lemons with maybe some water added. Here it’s carbonated.
Do you guys just use soda water or something?

My wife thinks I’m nuts because I like just about anything sour or acidic. And of course beer =good.

Lemonade in the US is typically lemon juice, sugar, and water. UK lemonade sounds like Sprite to me.
The beer I’m having is more like a beer infused with lemonade flavors. But I like it.

Together or separately but at the same time?

It’s similar to Sprite, maybe less sharp.
That’s a typical shandy here, lager or beer with ‘Sprite’ (half and half mix).
Or there is ‘lager top’ which is mostly lager with a little ‘Sprite’ on top.
It’s nice and refreshing.

A Fish/Leavenworth brewing Gose sour with, wait for it, a multicolor cotton candy top. Not kidding, I didn’t make it up. Weird but awesome.

It might help?

Ha! Funny you should say that, only Shandy I’ve ever had was one with Lager and Sprite (50/50). Maybe it’s a Canadian thing, although learned from a Scot.
